Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team in New York. The Medical Assistant will support physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals by assisting with patient care, administrative duties, and clinical procedures while ensuring a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and prepare patients for examinations.
  • Record vital signs, medical histories, and patient information.
  • Assist physicians during examinations and minor procedures.
  • Collect blood, urine, and laboratory specimens as directed.
  • Administer injections and medications under physician supervision.
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate patient follow-ups.
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Sterilize medical equipment and examination rooms.
  • Educate patients regarding medications and treatment plans.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and clinic safety procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer and EMR experience.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Professional and compassionate attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
  • Previous clinical experience.
  • CPR/BLS Certification.
  • Experience with Epic or similar EMR systems.
